Click Tale Review – Analytics Masterpiece
I decided to try the free version of Click Tale to see how their web analytics program works. I’m extremely impressed, except for the price. To be fair though, the service is good enough to demand a high price.
It does a screen capture video of users on your website. It’s like looking right over their shoulder as they navigate through your website. You see not only the links they click on, but also where they clicked on the page where there was no link.
You see how they scroll down the page. You see where they hold there mouse as they read the text. You see where they pause to read or re-read text.
There are also heat maps for how they move the mouse, where they clicked and how they scroll the page.
The form tracker is way cool. It tells you how many people only filled it out partially, then quit. It tells you how many people never touched the form.It tells you the average number of fields that were left blank. It tells you the average time it took users to fill out the form.
There are a ton of other features and reports that make Click Tale the best web analytics program I’ve tried yet.

Thanks Robert. I did a review there. Something I should have gone into here is that while the program is a glimpse at analytics for the future, small business owners will find it too pricey.
$100 for 3 domains is the only package most of them can afford and that depends on what else is coming out of their monthly budget.
The largest package at $800 per month for 25 domains is going to be out of most people’s range.
I’d rather see packages that have less videos per day, but on more domain names if the videos are the reason for the limitations.
This seems like an interesting piece of software. Is it legal though? It almost sounds kind of intrusive. Just curious to your thoughts and experiences with it. Thank you for the review.

Clicktale is the best visitor screen capture software online. The options of userfly and mouseflow are poor competitors if you ask me. I like Clicktale the best out of the three. Good review.
I like Clicktale as you can tell from my post, but would like more options, like a one domain name cheaper option and a less videos, more domains type of option.
My concern is for my smaller clients that have to watch their budget closely.
